So now that norah and mason are both in beds next to each other in the same room, it is fun to listen to the yao of them interact. Right now they have both woken up from their naps and where usually mason is yelling for us or norah is just crying, now mason I’d talking to norah and she is laughing. Much nicer.

Norah Rolled Over…
About three weeks ago, Norah rolled over from her front to her back. She did it up at busia and dziadzia’s house and essentially rolled under the couch.
Today, though, she pulled off back to her front, and did so a couple times. Go Norah!
More pictures…
Not too much to update… we are going to take norah to her first pediatrician’s appointment thursday AM… and I put up a few more pictures…

I am trying to get rebecca to write her own entry here, so it isn’t all my version of the story….
Photos are up…
Some of the pictures are up.

There are a few more. We are still getting back on track, so there will be more pictures coming once we get back on schedule…
The rest of the pics.

Norah Olivia Knight.

Its a Girl.
All is well. 6:45am. At Home. In the pool. More to follow.
Progress… but not there yet…
we are still having contractions, still working through them… we had our moment of transition… where we actually sat in the car with rebecca screaming she wanted to go to the hospital for an epidural…. but we talked her out of it… and she is back trying positions and trying to get through. Last time caroline checked, she was about 6-6.5cm. That was about 2 hours ago… she is progressing, and she is working hard. The contractions keep coming, and she is taking it like a trooper. Hard work I tell you. Thank goodness boys can’t do it, I am not sure how I would handle it.
So we are moving, not sure how dilated, but to what ends, she is getting there.
trying to get some rest…
ok… so contractions started around 10pm or so… and they are minor and not that close together, but they are happening.
Caroline has arrived, and everything checks out fine. Caroline got a quick belly cast in before the contractions started, which rules. Dylan and I ran to the store to get some random things that we didn’t have and by the time we got back, the contractions had begun and the belly cast was almost done. Productive!
Right now, we are all trying to get some rest before the real action starts. We got all our stuff together and ready to rock, I just need to fill up the pool. Rebecca is fed, hydrated, and we are about to go to sleep for as long as we can. Caroline is in the basement and Gail is on the couch in the family room.
It is such a different experience than Mason, where we were all more surprised and it was more a whirlwind. Obviously today was somewhat crazy, but in a much more controlled manner. So time for some potential sleep while the minor contractions happen, hopefully it will make the big contractions all that much easier.
Nothing to say yet…
Rebecca is sleeping lots, which is good. Caroline was planning on being in chicago from roughly 8/25-9/6, but with the recent activity, she is flying in early and will arrive later tonight. In case I didn’t post, Caroline was the midwife that helped jaren with Mason. Since then she has moved to california and set up practice there. She was planning on being here for the delivery date… but since it looks like we might be ahead of that, she is coming in earlier.
So Gail (Rebecca’s mom) is coming down tomorrow to spend the day with us, which will be nice cause I will be able to get some work done. I think I will be doing some work that Rebecca was going to do as well…
We’ll see how the day goes!
