While he has been opening his eyes more in the last 1/2 day, he has also been crying more and just more babylike. In the beginning, he just slept and slept and was actually quite quiet. Now he is doing normal 2 hour feedings and all that. He does spit up yellow junk alot, but if I am to understand these babies correctly, spitting up is to be expected?
He slept from 3am to about 8am without issue and he was pretty chill even at 8. He needed to be changed and he is feeding now, but even with that he wasn’t crying or anything. Every once in while he sneezes, which is actually kinda funny.
So hopefully today he will be more aware. Near the end of yesterday he was opening his eyes way more and looking around way more. He has begun actually looking AT you and it would appear he is actually focusing on you. I was holding him last night and I had a long curl hanging down and he kept looking at it. He did get annoyed when I has tickling his face with it though. Go figure.
i remember how cute mr. peterson was when she’d sneeze or hiss or growl. a real baby has to be hundreds of times cuter. except you’ll have to wipe his nose. and it would be weird if he starts hissing.
and bry: based on his annoyance with your hair in his face, i advise against sticking your fingers in his ears.
Spitting up? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet amigo! These little things do the exorcist puke sometimes. Glad to hear all is well!
